- Perform a compression test to rule out internal engine wear or damage
Fixes:
- Clean or replace the EGR valve to restore proper exhaust gas recirculation and reduce emissions
- Repair or replace the turbocharger if boost pressure is insufficient or if mechanical damage is detected
- Regenerate or replace the DPF to ensure proper exhaust flow and prevent engine derating
- Replace faulty sensors such as the MAF (Mass Air Flow) or MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensors if they cause incorrect air-fuel mixture readings
