- Test fuel injectors for proper spray pattern and leaks
- Inspect intake and intercooler pipes for leaks or cracks causing boost loss

Fixes:
- Clean or replace the EGR valve and cooler if clogged or faulty
- Repair or replace the turbocharger or its components if damaged or worn
- Perform a forced DPF regeneration or replace the DPF if severely blocked
- Replace faulty fuel injectors or repair fuel system leaks
- Repair any intake or intercooler pipe leaks to restore proper boost pressure
- Regularly update engine software to the latest version to improve engine management and emissions control

Prevention:
- Use high-quality diesel fuel and adhere to recommended oil change intervals with the correct oil grade
- Avoid short trips that prevent the DPF from reaching regeneration temperature
- Regularly service and clean the EGR system to prevent clogging
- Monitor and maintain the turbocharger system, including air filters and hoses
- Follow manufacturer maintenance schedules strictly to prevent premature wear and failures
- Drive the vehicle at higher RPMs periodically to aid DPF regeneration and turbocharger health
